Derwent Valley Folkloric Forum
The Derwent Valley Folkloric Forum is an annual event that brings together academics, enthusiasts, folklorists and practitioners to discuss all things folkloric.
This year’s speakers include: Alex Begg (arborealist/founder member of Fleet Folkloric Forum), Matthew Cheeseman (Professor of Writing and Folklore at The University of Derby), Andrew Wilson (Programme Leader BA (Hons) Criminology & Sociology, University of Derby), Paul Mansfield (folklorist and ethnomusicologist) , Chris Lewis-Jones (Research Fellow and founder member, Fleet Folkloric Forum), Ian Pringle (Creative Facilitator and founder member of Fleet Folkloric Forum), Janet Philo, Ashbourne based poet and Phil Philo musician/history buff…plus you (if you attend)!
