*Penultimate Third Friday Feast for 2026*  Book now!
*A Mexican meal at No 28 on 16 Oct 26*   🇲🇽🌮🇲🇽🌮
Lead cook Marcela will be serving an authentic meal of Mexican tacos
• Soft corn tortillas with two fillings • Mole (‘sauce’ in the Aztec language), made with three types of chillies – ancho, pasilla and mulato – for a depth of complex and sweet flavours • Salsa verde with courgette, sweetcorn and home-grown tomatillos • Refried beans • Rice
Marcela’s recipe – as with most authentic Mexican cuisine – focuses on flavour rather than heat.
❤️‍🔥You can add heat with the *optional* salsas on the table 🔥
💦If you’re wary of hot spice, we see you! 👩🏻‍🚒
Dessert • Spicy marble cake with a pouring sauce
The dessert will be made with capomo flour (technically a seed, but also known as the Maya nut). Marcela will tell us a little more about this product and why it is close to her heart and her work. Her company Tierra Foods is involved in tree planting in Mexico, and surplus funds raised will be sent to the charity FCEA – Fondo para la Comunicación y la Educación Ambiental
*What are you waiting for?*
There’s only one more 3FF after this before we wrap up for the year. We’re not cooking in December, so book now! The last 3FF of 2026 is on 20th November, when Miles Halpin (of Freedom Feed ‘Em fame) will be guest chef, with the lovely Ola & friends.

Each month a team of volunteers serves a main course and pudding. Donations are taken after the meal, and any surplus after costs is donated to a charity of the lead cook’s choice.

Spaces are free to book, but please bring cash & drinks with you.

3FF is a community dining experience on 3rd Fridays at Number 28 community space in Belper.
Each month a team of volunteers serves a main course and pudding. Donations are taken after the meal, and any surplus after costs is donated to a charity of the lead cook’s choice.

Come share your Friday evening in the company of like minded, community spirited people. We know that talking to strangers isn’t for everyone, but also that strangers are just friends we haven’t met yet.3FF aims to be inclusive and is for everyone. Some come instead of sitting in a restaurant, some prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, or meeting new people, or sitting alone, or need to bring the kids, or don’t want a boozy environment. Some donate £50 instead of dining out; others need a free hot meal. Hop out of your echo chamber and into your community!

Under 16s welcome accompanied by a responsible adult.
