Come along on Saturday for the first Farmers Market Cafe of 2026 and the launch of BELPER 250.
Belper 250 is a year-long festival, celebrating our town’s epic role in the Industrial Revolution.
Outside traders will be selling historical themed products, dressed up for the occasion and offering a wide range of goods.
Inside No28:
BELPER HISTORICAL SOCIETY are encouraging people to bring family artefacts from Belper factories. Volunteer BHS ‘curators’ will help to collect, organise and preserve factory-related photographs, documents and artefacts, creating virtual scrapbooks. Once catalogued and digitised, original materials will be offered to the Derbyshire Record Office for long term storage.
BELPER MARKET PLACE GROUP will be showcasing the history of the Market Place and celebrating its 287 years of hosting the town’s markets and the role it has played in the history of Belper.
Our ‘Connected by Colour’ exhibition continues and there will be warming Spicy Veg Soup in the cafe along with the usual freshly made coffee and teas, cheese scones, filled cobs and CAKE!
