Its that time of year again! The Fair’s in town next week and that means the annual show of miniature working models of fairground rides and attractions returns to No28, accompanied by displays of fairground history, art and memorabilia.
Something for everyone and all ages.
Did you know that Proctors have been bringing their Fair to Belper Coppice for over a 100 years?
There’s a brief history of Belper Fair in Belper Town Council’s latest newsletter Copy of October 2025 Newsletter written by our local writer and fair historian, Neil Calladine, and there will be books for sale at the Model Show recounting the History of Belper Fair (by Neil) and a history of Proctor’s Fairs through two world wars (by Albert Proctor), with much gripping detail of Belper fair-related dramas and tragedies.
Plus, of course, there’s our amazing No28 Cafe with freshly-made cafetiere coffee, teas, cakes, savouries and light lunches.
